I am terribly sad to learn of the incident. May Lord Krishna bless her soul. As you grieve for her, you are burning your stock of bad karma. If you persist in your path of Krishna Bhakti despite these challenges- a very difficult thing to do in the face of odds- you would have earned for yourself, your family, departed daughter a promotion in Lord Krishna's tracker of devotees. As you persevere in this path of Krishna Bhakti, please take a moment to reflect on Draupadi's insult in an open assembly of males, the killing of Arjuna's son in a deceitful manner, and later the beheading of five more of his sons, and so on- the challenges Krishna's devotees face and through that teach us the art of resilience and detachment. Trust me, your daughter's departure may look unjust, but she is safe on her journey back to Godhead, into a life of eternal bliss. Her next life would be rosy and full of joy and have much fewer challenges, as she receives greater and greater protection from Lord Krishna on her eternal journey back home. Jai Sri Radhe! Vrndavan must be a peaceful place to stay and to live for spiritual advancement. It is inadmissible, the entire "adventure" to go to India. It seems to me like India is full of rascals and thieves. If you go to India you must be alert. The abuse from the taxi drivers in the airport, in the train station, abuses buying anything and in holy places, it is worst. It must be changed. If I go with my wife to Vrndavan, What do Ido? Carry a weapon? Or What do you do? It is the duty of the goverment to do something to make Vrndavan (and the way to) safe. Radhe Radhe. Priya Shaki Devi Dasispain/india(vrindavan)I am a great lover of Vrindavan and am personally involved in health care and child protection in Vrindavan> I had personal experience of this case and was a witness to the fact that Lila was brutalised through rape as I had to the state of Lilas body along with the local superintendant of police. It was a great injustice the way this case was handled. However this is only one of many cases which I have personally seen of crime which has been taken very lightly by local authorities. I hope and pray that something will be done so that Vrindavan can be a safe place with world class law and order so that people from all over India and all over the world can visit and reside here in peace and safety. Please special attention should be given to enforcing very strict protection for women, children and elderly....Please India preserve your culture and uphold your good name and the good name of your culture. Vrindavan is a unique place never to be found anywhere else on this planet, respect it and respect it's pilgrims and residents.
