Such a place should be treated like a jewel, its national pride, its community pride, its humanity pride, to see such display of serenity & understanding. If the authorities are loose & careless for the safety & convenience of the pilgrim tourist, its such a shame & disgust for such authorities. Its unfortunate that such people are in uniforms and yet don't know what their job is, what their duty is and what principle of life they are acting. Alfred Wolf/Adi Kavi DasUnited States of AmericaMy daughter, a Hare Krishna devotee, is also named Lilavati, after one of Lord Krishna's gopis. I met Maneka Gandhi in Bhubaneshwar around 1994, she discussed the problem of all the cows being run over in India and wanted us to create some goshallas near our temples. I have been to Vrndavana and one time a giant wrestler almost attacked me. Another time three people were hiding in an alley waiting to rob me but I went down the alley anyway. But I yelled ahead of time to get some attention. Another time a thief stole one of the devotees cameras on the train from Bhubaneshwar to Kolkatta while we were going to Mayapura. The police ran and caught the thief just so they would know who he was and asked how valuable the camera was so they could take their share of the cut afterwards. I had to buy a ticket from Kolkatta to Delhi and the ticket sellers spoke in English that this person is a foreigner so we should not cheat him, then the other person said we should anyway because he is dressed like a devotee. Another time I got on the train in Kolkatta and it was dark and a group of people said I had to pay extra to sit on the seats. I said I already was sitting on a seat and I had a ticket anyway. They made me pay an extra ten rupees and I just did so they wouldn't fight with me and steal all my stuff.

Do not bend your knee enfront of any criminal, mafia or similar. Stand up and protect those who are weak. Please do follow this dharma for the pleasure of Bhagavan. India wants to be proud of social and economical advancement, This will not be possible without security. If you aloud more crimes in Vrindavan, tourist and yatris will not feel safe in Vrindavan and sure they will stop to come, that will mean less income and no good reputation at all, no more economic development, no more social development. Please show the world how ready you are to beat the criminal challenge, show the world how ready you are to rule over with justice, honour and leadership. Play the political chess wisely.
