Toshan Krsna JamesIndiaI did not know lila, but i had seen her on numerous occasions in vrindavan dham. this kind of barbaric behavious should not be tolerated in vrindavan dham..please. hare krsna.

Krsna DhenuUSAHare Krsna. I am glad that this campaign is taking place. It was meant to be there for the longest time, and finally by the Lord's arrangements, it is happening. I hope this will awaken awareness to the serious problems of protection of all residents and people. Vrndavana is the home of Sri Krsna, and by Srila Prabhupada's mercy, Vrndavana became a place known as "home" to many. To have rascals attempt to malign the beauty and legacy of Sri Krsna's land and Srila Prabhupada's effort is the greatest offense! I pray that this petition will get things going toward the right direction! In memory of Lila, I did not know her or talked to her, but from reading what people wrote, she seemed like a very special person who I didn't have the fortune of knowing. She will always remain alive through her example, her life, and the memories that are shared by her friends and family. I give my condolences to her family, and I am hoping that Sri Krsna gives special care to them. Jaya Srila Prabhupada! Hare Krsna!
Franziska Matern aka Phulesvari DasiGermanyLIla was my friend and I miss her deeply and can´t even estimate what pain her family must feel. I totally agree to this petition as I know and unforunatly have experienced myself the violence of the people in and arround Vrindavan.

Dr Ram ShramaIndiaits the duty of government to respect and maintain the dignity of holy Vrindavan, punish the culprits who try to break the law ..its being rarest of rarest crime the culprit should be hanged to noose
I Gusti AyuBali -IndonesiaVrndavana's holy dham not Mafia dham not also business dham where people thinking can rip off pilgrims money. It's place of devotion not place of money making in that way of thinking (place of money making) Vrndavana would be never safe for anyone.
Gundica DayUSAMy gurukuli friends and Sri Vrndavan Dham are the two things in this world that I carry closest to my heart. You can't say truly say you love Vrndavan or miss Lila if you can't take a few minutes out to sign this petition to make this holy dham safe. Jai Sri Radhe Shyam!

govinda priyafrancei just wanted to say please please help making vrindavan the place it is supose to be . a place of peace and meditation, free from violence , guns , drugs or any abuses. Vrindavan should not be a place of fear where we cant have our children playing safely , of fear going out for darshan early in the morning . Our dear friend Lila 's departure in such dramatic ways is an eye opener that something has to be done urgently . hare krsna .
Kelvin RamlakhanCanadaVrindavan is internationally renowned as a Holy Land and as such it is imperative that this very special place be a safe place for all pilgrims.

Abha Duggal India It is very disheartening to know that Vrindavan Dham is not safe for women and tourist and it is responsibility of the the authorities to take care of the dham so that all could visit is without any fear. I have all my condolences with Lila's family may Krishna give them courage to bear this loss. Human Right Activist Abha
Venugopal Damerla,MBBS;MDUSAIt is the first duty of the State of U.P. and Central Government to give immediate attention to safety and security of visitors of holy places before even protecting the ancient monumental buildings . By not taking these actions to protect the pilgrims and tourists seeking higher experience of the truth of life, the government officials are to be rendered agents of the crime, corruption and lawlessness
Krsnaa FitchUnited StatesKeep our holy land safe!
Madan MohanIndiaVrindavan which is the home of thousands of sadhus and a land with over thousands of temples, people travel here from around the world for peace and stability, acquiring spiritual knowledge n to know the supreme, violence is the least anyone can expect here thus the government should ensure the safety of the people here, which can be done by enabling strict LAW and ORDER, eliminating corruption and having regular checks.
Eklavya KUkrejaIndiaWhatever happened in Vrindavan could happen to us .And anytime to change this is NOW.
Dhananjay ParajiaINDIAMatter of common sense. Dhaam, a place of spiritual and national heritage, should be protected by the govt.
anitaindiamake it as beautiful as it will be loved by Krushna himself....
Meera BabuIndiaVrindavan, the very holy place .where Lord Krishna was born and performed pastimes, should be saved from illegal activities.
Manish BhardwajindiaVrindavan, one of the holiest places in India, needs to one of the safest too. plz do something about it.
Benjamin E. Antonio IIIPhilippinesI have visited Vrindavan in the past, and it would be such a waste to see the place fall into violence and decay.
Anton WhiteAustraliaWe live in a world where there should be more peace in our everyday lives. Its not that hard to make someone happy by delivering a smile or a hug by caring that seems to make a big difference even if you can't speak someone elses language/culture. The benefits are truely amazing what you will receive in return. All around the world countries are run by governments some who are at war, some who are trying to create peace, yet again the citizens within these countries do not want this war to happen. I was once told this by some tourists whilist travelling overseas, they asked me if i saw the war on the news back home of their country- i said "yes" their response was "that is really bad, too many people get hurt from both sides" It was a very moving moment that put a teardrop close to my heart. These young tourists wanted so much to live where i live today, beacause in their own country there is no peace only constant bombing on the boarders. Furthermore, in such a place like Vrindavan, India if anybody has any link to peace in anyway around the world, maybe you have lost someone close to you, a loved one; all i ask is you support this family in their continued support through their petition. I'm yet to visit Vrindavan, India and i hope the day i do Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of India has made a difference not only to this holy place, but a difference around the world through peace such that others can learn how to make this world a better place.....................................
Anuj GoelIndiaInstances like these can be easily avoided by putting in proper regulations. These situations spoil the Holy Place
Mrinalbhai Khawasindia"trailokye prithivi dhanya yatra vrindavana puri"(puranas) among the three worlds the earth has been glorified most because the holy vrindavan is situated here. but this is very shameful to india govt.that mudering of 17 years old devotee LILA SALTER.
Ganesa dasaUSAAs a convert to Gaudiya vaisnavism, I have been visiting Sri Vrindavana dhama for the past 35 years. In that time I have personally witnessed some horrific events, sometimes perpetrated by the residents there upon other residents, sometimes perpetrated by the residents upon visitors and sometimes perpetrated by the local police upon residents AND visitors. During that time there have also been murders committed there in broad daylight. Corruption abounds in this sacred place and there seems to be a lawlessness there which is overlooked by many local, state and government authorities. I applaud this effort to clean up Vrndavana and humbly urge Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of India to please make Sri Vrindavana safe for residents and visitors alike. It is the center of all holy places in India. sincerely, G. Dasa
Keyur TrivediPhilippinesI truly believe and support to make vrindavana a safe place, a place which can showcase the rich spiritual culture of India, a place that resonates the diversity and depth of vedic knowledge, a place which we can be proud of, a place where we can all live with love, peace and harmony.
Bhisma SalterAustraliaplease one and all, help clean Vrndavan of this filt and clean ur heart in the process
Janneke RobertsAustraliaPlease restore safety in Vrindavan. Pilgrims and tourists should be welcomed to such a holy and auspicious place in the world, and not concerned for their safety. Sri Krishna and Srila Prabhupada would be so appalled by the state of disarray and the injustice being experienced in such a sacred place.
damodar das indiaiam praying that everything works well and get a peacefull vrndavan to do our sadhan s ,as that is the place where all the sadhus do there bhajan ... jay jagannath ... radhe radhe
zardi manningAustralia/IndiaI love Vrindavan! Miss Lila so much! So lets try to make it safer for everyone here! Radhe Shyam
Chris KruizeAustraliaI would like to visit India especially the holy places. But with the violence in India in recent times, I do not feel safe to visit those areas. Please make it safe to travel to the holy places of India. As a tourist, they will be the most sought after places to visit.

Govinda CarolUSAMy name is Govinda and i am an American. Although I was born and raised in India. I was born in Mumbai, then spent 6 years in Goa after which my parents chose Vrindavan to be our home. I've lived in Vrindavan from the age of 6 till present, and I can wholly understand and appreciate why my close friend/bhai Bhishma Salter is urging for this petition. I've witness first hand the decline Vrindavan has faced through the past decade, and have been waiting for the Indian Government to get involved before it's too late. They say tourism is as bad as terrorism, as far as the negative effect it has on a place. Well that's where India can learn from the rest of the world and put money into preservation and setting up a system which will put laws into effect to make the town a peaceful and beautiful place, thus attracting more tourists and more capitol. Vrindavan is almost considered a suburb to New Delhi--the capitol, and a jewel of ancient Indian Heritage. It is pitiful that things have gotten so corrupt that this wonderful town on the banks of the ancient river Yamuna is fading into the hellish UP and if nothing is done within the next couple years it will end up lost forever, a fate shared by it's neighbor Mathura. Although currently in the US as a student and employed by a multinational corporation I will gladly give any support to this campaign. Sincerely Govinda carol
