If vrindavan and other holy places are not safe then why goverment of india is saying our india is incradible.. I hope central Goverment of india will strick in this matter and will make guidelines for tourist n holy places.

Ahlam NajibSurfers Paradise - AUSTRALIAI was so shocked to hear today of her death. I remember seeing her walking with her mum & dad in Centro Mall in Surfers Paradise a few years ago & thought to myself what a lovely family. This is so sad to know that this happen to her and probably many other innocent women. Please stop this type of crime happening ever again. Lila RIP. My heart goes out to your family.

Keshav DasIndiaI have known Lila for a long time and happy that she considered me as her close buddy. We had a lot fun when she came to Mumbai and in a way started to appreciate the life down here. Actually when westerners come down from their homeland. They have this image in mind that India is a beautiful and spiritual country with rich culture. Lately lot of westerners are coming down here and even planning on settling down here.Its true that India is not backward when it comes to culture but we have corruption here that eats our institution from inside. We know we can not stop the inevitable. What has happened has happened but we should look and stop this problem. I have been to Rishikesh and what i see there is a strict security and not many cases of people harassed. Why? cos this place has been a main tourist attraction and thus bring money into our country but if u come to Vrindavan, UP, India. There are police but of no use. I still remember that the cops use to take the passport of the western boys and girls of our institution and would trouble them in paying money in return. When the people who should actually protect are causing nuisance than what order do you expect. When my Dear friend passed away i heard the mom telling that the cops were not taking this whole things seriously and that people who were the killer's family member had good connections with the govt,cops and they calmed the whole situation down. This is a shame to our country. Even the press were fed wrong info's and wrote against her. I have stayed in Vrindavan for half year and i have notice that general public are intimidated by seeing white men and women. They come up and talk . Which westerners never have problem but the youngsters of rich family think they own the people and can do what ever they feel like and harass the ladies. Many times we have to explain to them but they fight back with us. They try to show off their so called local pride and status. My local friend warned me about them and told they have guns and they are dangerous. This cause is IMPORTANT cos everyone wants peace and we don't want another Lila to die to let we people realise the importance. Pls come and see what beauty this place has to share. Do not take Vrindavan to be any normal place. This is the heart of India. I will full heartedly miss u Lila. I will never forget the time we had together with rest of the friends. Hugs and Tears.
